Terms of Service

Effective date: August 19, 2026

1. Provider and scope

These Terms of Service govern the use of Atrium's website and its iOS and Android apps (together, the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by:

Atrium Music Ltd, 86 North View Road, London, England, N8 7LP Email: contact@atrium.music

By creating an account or using account-only features, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility and accounts

2.1 You must be at least 18 years old to create an Atrium account.

2.2 Atrium accounts are currently free. There is no paid subscription required to use the current Platform.

2.3 You must provide accurate and complete account information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for activity carried out through your account.

2.4 You may not create an account for another person, impersonate another person or organization, or use the Platform unlawfully.

3. Current services

Atrium provides a community-supported directory of live-music venues. Depending on the available features, users can:

  • browse venue information without an account;
  • suggest a new venue;
  • propose changes to existing venue information;
  • submit a review based on their experience with a venue; and
  • upload their own photographs of a venue.

The website and apps are intended to offer the same core scope. Individual features may be introduced at different times on different platforms.

4. User contributions and review before publication

4.1 User contributions include venue suggestions, proposed changes to venue information, venue reviews, photographs, comments submitted with those contributions, and related verification information.

4.2 All user contributions go through an administrative review before they can be published. Submission does not create a right to publication or to review within a particular period. Atrium may approve, reject, edit, shorten, categorize, or request clarification about a contribution.

4.3 You remain responsible for the content you submit. You confirm that your contribution is accurate to the best of your knowledge, relates to the relevant venue, and does not violate applicable law or the rights of another person.

4.4 You must not submit content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, deliberately misleading, obscene, invasive of privacy, spam, or designed to damage the Platform. You must not include another person's private contact details or other personal information without a valid reason and the necessary permission.

4.5 Atrium may reject or remove contributions and may restrict or close accounts that violate these Terms or put other people or the Platform at risk.

5. Venue reviews

5.1 Reviews must describe a genuine experience with the venue. Atrium may ask for information needed to verify that experience.

5.2 A review can be published without displaying the reviewer's identity. Information collected only for verification is not made public.

5.3 Venues cannot pay to remove or suppress a review. Atrium may nevertheless reject, edit, or remove a review if it cannot be verified, violates these Terms, infringes another person's rights, or creates a legal or safety risk.

6. Venue photographs

6.1 You may upload only photographs that you took yourself and for which you hold the necessary rights. User uploads must not be copied from Instagram, venue websites, press materials, image libraries, or other third-party sources.

6.2 Do not upload a photograph containing identifiable people unless you have all permissions required to publish it. Atrium reviews photographs before publication and may reject or remove images that raise privacy, safety, copyright, or other rights concerns.

6.3 By uploading a photograph, you grant Atrium Music Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, resize, crop, edit, display, distribute, and otherwise use the photograph in connection with the Platform and its venue directory. This license continues after your account is deleted.

6.4 User photographs are normally displayed without a public photographer credit. Atrium may retain internal records needed to document the upload and the granted rights.

6.5 Creative Commons and other third-party images may only be added by Atrium itself. Their attribution and license information are handled separately on the image credits page.

6.6 If you believe an image infringes your copyright, privacy, or other rights, contact contact@atrium.music and identify the image and the basis of your request.

7. Rights in other contributions

7.1 You retain any rights you hold in your contribution. You grant Atrium Music Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, edit, translate, publish, display, and distribute the contribution as necessary to operate, maintain, improve, and promote the Platform and venue directory.

7.2 This license continues after account deletion for contributions retained in anonymized form under Section 8.

7.3 Atrium's name, logos, software, design, and original content remain the property of Atrium Music Ltd or the relevant rights holders. You may not reproduce or commercially exploit them without permission, except where the law allows it.

8. Account deletion and retained contributions

8.1 You may request deletion of your account. Atrium will delete or anonymize account and profile information unless it must be retained for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.

8.2 Contributions to the shared venue database, including venue suggestions, accepted venue changes, venue reviews, and venue photographs, may remain available after account deletion. Atrium will remove the association with the deleted account and will not publicly identify the former account holder through those contributions.

8.3 Non-public contact and verification information linked to retained contributions will be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer necessary, unless it must be retained for a legal claim, rights documentation, fraud prevention, or another legal obligation.

8.4 Photographs may remain available under the continuing license in Section 6.3.

9. Availability and accuracy

9.1 Atrium aims to provide useful, current, and carefully reviewed venue information. Venue details, event information, contact information, and user experiences can nevertheless change or contain errors. Atrium does not guarantee that every entry is complete, accurate, or current.

9.2 Always confirm important booking, event, accessibility, safety, payment, and travel information directly with the venue or organizer before relying on it.

9.3 Atrium may change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security, legal requirements, or development of the Platform.

10. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights. Subject to those rules, Atrium is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate third-party or user-supplied venue information, temporary unavailability, or a user's reliance on information that should reasonably have been confirmed with the relevant venue or organizer.

11. Changes to these Terms

Atrium may update these Terms when the Platform, applicable law, or our operating practices change. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way before they take effect, for example on the Platform or by email. If a change requires fresh consent, we will ask for it.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections or rights available under the laws of the country where you live. Any court with mandatory jurisdiction under applicable consumer law remains competent.
