Atrium is being built by three musicians from Leipzig, not by an agency or a corporation.
Anyone playing in bands or solo knows how it works: Digging through websites, tips from friends, or Facebook groups. Who books anyway and how much do they pay? Will they treat you fairly and respectfully? And with every new city or tour you’ll start from scratch.
Existing platforms and services mostly want to sell subscriptions, regardless of the results. We don't agree with that.
Knowledge about venues belongs to artists, not behind a paywall.
What’s more, most artists we know are broke, even the really good ones. Being talented doesn’t equal being rich but that’s being ignored by pay-to-play.
That’s why we started collecting our knowledge and want to share it with other musicians. Starting in Leipzig as that’s our home. The reviews add a layer you can’t find anywhere else. However, we also know the risk of being blacklisted when stepping on the wrong feet. This is why we allow anonymous reviews on Atrium. We do verify all ratings to make sure they are real, but whoever wants to remain anonymous in public can feel safe to do so.
You can visit every venue page without logging in. You only need a free account when you contribute something yourself.
We review every rating before publication. Venues can't buy reviews or have them deleted. We screen for insults and suspected fakes, which are never allowed on Atrium.

Community & Research
Talks to bands and venues before we build anything. Reviews having a safety dimension goes back to her conversations with the scene.

Music & Booking
Has been on stage with Leipzig bands for years and knows both sides of the booking table. Makes sure Atrium answers the questions bands actually ask.

Product & Engineering
Builds the platform, the crawlers and the maps. If new concert data appears at three in the morning, that was him.
Know how we can make Atrium better? We want to hear it! Ideas for new features are always welcome, too. Email us, message us on Instagram, or use our feedback form.
